About Us At the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), A*STAR, we drive innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. Our mission is to build large language models (LLMs), agentic AI and multimodal foundation models that can transform clinical decision support, biomedical discovery, and public health. We are looking for AI Engineers with strong applied AI and software engineering skills to build scalable AI systems and translate cutting-edge research into real-world healthcare solutions. Key Responsibilities Research & Development Develop, train, fine-tune, and evaluate LLMs, agentic AI systems, vision foundation models, and multimodal foundation models. Build scalable training, inference, and deployment pipelines for AI models. Develop software tools, APIs, and cloud-based services for AI applications. Optimize model performance, reliability, and resource utilization on HPC and cloud platforms. Support model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in research and production environments. Translation & Collaboration Develop AI solutions for clinical and biomedical applications such as clinical decision support, conversational AI, population health, and biomedical discovery. Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to translate AI technologies into practical healthcare solutions. Contribute to technology transfer, product development, and commercialization activities. Innovation and Technical Contribution Stay current with advances in LLMs, agentic AI, foundation models, and healthcare AI. Contribute to technical reports, patents, publications, and project deliverables. Support collaborative research proposals and interdisciplinary projects. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
