About this role
Purpose of Job This position is responsible for the planning and development of project management strategy in support of the Biosciences and Medtech Workspace and Science and Engineering (research and office) needs. Central to it is to formulate project requirements, including but not limited for outfitting, infrastructure renewals and new acquisitions, with a focus in laboratory environment. Expected to bring along a strong knowledge of project management skills, construction knowledge and budget/financial modelling, build strategies and high engagements with stakeholders and users to co-develop a workplace which is financially and environmentally sustainable. Key Accountabilities: Project Management: Responsible for the facilitation of projects from planning to delivery by ensuring accurate preparation and execution of all project activities in accordance with the A*STAR long-term space plans and ensure excellent financial, quality and schedule outcomes. Lead the consolidation and harmonization of the different space users’ requirements and conduct technical feasibility analysis for all space projects to facilitate decision-making. Support the overall budget request process and required procurement process. Manage the construction project to ensure the projects achieve the define scope, quality, budget, safety and time objectives. Responsible to consolidate and validate all actual design specifications with the planning team, consultants and equipment manuals with the FM team as part handover. Provide support to the FM team at the initial stage of operations and DLP. Compliance and Regulations : Ensure that all space planning initiatives comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards across different locations.
