About this role

Single cell algorithms and data analytics - human diversity and disease mechanisms The Asian Immune Diversity Atlas (AIDA) is the world’s first single cell atlas of circulating immune cells from diverse Asian donors. In addition to facilitating the identification of biomarkers and therapeutic targets for diseases, our studies elucidate fundamental insights into the cellular building blocks of humans and uncover the influence of genetics, ancestry, age, sex, and other dimensions of diversity on human phenotypes. We are looking for team members who will develop cutting-edge AI/machine learning methods and pipelines to integrate and interrogate gene expression and regulatory profiles of millions of cells from thousands of donors. Your work will help establish a healthy immune baseline for disease comparisons, and craft and curate atlases of human cells that will transform our understanding of human biology. Successful candidates for this position will have the opportunity to collaborate with, learn from, and contribute to international teams studying diverse donors and tissues, including AIDA and Human Cell Atlas bionetworks. Requirements: PhD (in final year or thesis submitted) in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, machine learning, signal processing, computer vision, computational genomics, or a related field Experience in computational biology Mathematical sophistication Programming skills in R/Python Strong communication skills Post-doctoral candidates should have a strong track record, including impactful publications To apply, please e-mail your CV and names of references to: prabhakars@gis.a-star.edu.sg, sankarans@gis.a-star.edu.sg The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
