Job Summary The SAP ERP Solution Architect & Pillar Manager is responsible for driving SAP solution excellence, project delivery quality, practice capability development, resource management, and business growth within the assigned ERP pillar (e.g., Finance and project systems). The role combines deep SAP solution architecture expertise with people leadership and pillar ownership responsibilities to ensure successful project outcomes, capability development, and business growth. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Advisory Lead SAP ERP solution design and architecture for implementation, rollout, upgrade, and transformation programs. Drive Fit-to-Standard workshops and solution definition sessions. Ensure adoption of SAP best practices and Clean Core principles. Review and approve functional and solution design documents. Provide guidance on SAP S/4HANA capabilities, roadmap, and innovations. Support presales activities, solution demonstrations, and proposal preparation. Act as the escalation point for complex functional issues and architecture decisions. Ensure solution alignment across integrated SAP modules and third-party systems. Delivery Governance Provide architectural oversight across all projects within the pillar. Review project health, solution quality, delivery risks, and major milestones. Ensure compliance with project methodology, standards, and governance processes. Conduct design reviews, quality gate reviews, and go-live readiness assessments. Support recovery plans for troubled projects when required. Drive successful project delivery with strong customer satisfaction. Pillar Management Own the overall growth and performance of the ERP pillar. Develop and execute annual pillar strategy and capability roadmap. Establish delivery standards, templates, accelerators, and knowledge assets. Build a strong competency pool to support current and future demand. Identify capability gaps and drive hiring, reskilling, and upskilling initiatives. Ensure resource readiness for SAP's latest technologies and offerings. Resource & Talent Management Manage resource planning and deployment across projects. Conduct performance reviews and coaching for team members. Mentor consultants, senior consultants, and leads. Support succession planning and leadership development. Monitor certification status and competency development plans. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Presales & Business Development Support RFPs, proposals, estimations, and solution presentations. Participate in client pursuits and strategic account development. Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities. Develop reusable industry-specific solutions and accelerators. Work closely with sales and account teams to grow ERP revenue. Client Relationship Management Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders. Engage CIOs, business leaders, and project sponsors. Conduct executive solution presentations and steering committee discussions. Ensure overall customer success and long-term partnership development. Drive customer references and success stories. Innovation & Practice Development Promote adoption of SAP Business AI, BTP, Analytics, and automation capabilities. Develop delivery accelerators and AI-enabled consulting assets. Support internal innovation programs and thought leadership initiatives. Contribute to whitepapers, case studies, and industry presentations. Required Experience & Skills 10–15+ years overall SAP solution design and architecture Minimum 5–8 years experience for implementation, rollout, upgrade, and transformation programs. Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA or ECC end-to-end implementations Strong understanding of SAP cross-module integration (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, interfaces, data migration) Knowledge of SAP Business AI, BTP, Analytics, and automation capabilities will be good-to-have. Excellent financial management and commercial control experience Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with senior executives Solid knowledge of presales activities, solution demonstrations, and proposal preparation.
