Our client, an established organisation with a strong focus on technology and innovation, is seeking an Application Development Security Senior Analyst to support and enhance secure software development practices. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and engineering, with a focus on embedding security across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate is a proactive and collaborative professional who is passionate about building secure, scalable applications in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the development and continuous improvement of policies and practices related to secure application development. Contribute to early-stage design discussions by identifying potential security risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Perform regular security assessments using a range of tools (e.g. SAST, DAST, SCA) and methodologies and work with teams to prioritise remediation efforts. Review application code to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement insecurity practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10). Support the integration of security practices into CI/CD pipelines to enable secure and efficient DevSecOps workflows. Provide practical guidance to development teams on addressing security findings. Promote awareness of secure coding practices through knowledge sharing and training initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to strengthen overall application security posture. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in application security, secure development, or related areas. Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, C#). Understanding of common application security risks and mitigation approaches. Exposure to security testing tools or frameworks is advantageous. Familiarity with modern development environments, including cloud or container technologies(e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CSSLP, OSCP) are beneficial but not essential Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative and proactive approach to supporting secure development practices.
