Co-Development Business Unit is hiring for Software Quality Engineer You will work in Singapore Government Agencies Internal Code: A26206 This is a fixed term contract role. The engagement is 1 year. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Software Quality Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing test strategies, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Our applications are built on OutSystems 11, and experience with the platform will be a distinct advantage. What will you do? Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned to functional and non-functional requirements. Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and the Cucumber BDD framework. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. Participate in requirement reviews and contribute to quality gates at each stage of the software development lifecycle. Own defect tracking and management from identification through to resolution. Identify gaps in test coverage, recommend process enhancements, and help build a culture of quality within the team. What are we looking for? Proven experience in software quality assurance, with hands-on expertise in writing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and the Cucumber BDD framework. Familiarity with OutSystems 11 — including its application lifecycle, debugging tools, and testing considerations — is highly advantageous. Comfortable working with version control systems such as Git. Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing fits within them. Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or similar. Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, project managers, and end users. Proactive and takes initiative, managing your own workload responsibly and flagging risks early. Able to give and receive feedback professionally and constructively. Adaptable to changing priorities with a positive, solutions-focused attitude. Contributes actively in team discussions, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder meetings. A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus, though not mandatory.
