Below are the typical responsibilities and requirements for this role: Responsibilities - Lead and manage the entire design process, from concept development to final execution. - Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and design standards. - Ensure all designs align with client requirements, brand identity, and company standards. - Develop creative and innovative design concepts, plans, and presentations. - Produce sketches, renderings, and digital drawings to communicate design ideas to clients and team members. - Ensure the functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability of all designs. - Liaise directly with clients to understand their vision, needs, and project objectives. - Present design proposals and concepts to clients, adjusting based on feedback and ensuring client satisfaction. - Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact throughout the project. - Delegate tasks, ensuring the team works efficiently and meets project deadlines. - Conduct regular design reviews with the team to ensure quality control and adherence to the project brief. - Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other third parties to ensure the project is executed according to the design specifications. - Source materials, furniture, and fixtures, ensuring they meet the design’s aesthetic and functional requirements. - Review construction documents and plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations. - Create project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints. - Develop project timelines, coordinating with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure on-time delivery. - Resolve any design-related or logistical issues that arise during the project lifecycle. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technology to implement innovative design solutions. - Continuously improve design strategies by incorporating the latest advancements in sustainable and smart interior design. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in interior design, with experience in handling large-scale or high-end projects. - Experience in leading projects from concept through completion. - Experience in site coordination and collaborating with external contractors, suppliers, and clients. - Technical expertise: Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft office and rendering software - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for client engagement and managing expectations. - Ability to maintain high-quality standards throughout the design and execution phases. - Capacity to address design challenges and on-site construction issues effectively. - Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape or other rendering software). - Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations. - Portfolio of completed design projects showcasing creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. - Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects. - Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and project management.
