Senior Infrastructure Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting complex, mission-critical infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on delivering robust infrastructure solutions encompassing compute, storage, virtualization, networking, automation, and operating platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle—from solution design and implementation through testing, deployment, and customer support—while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Infrastructure Design & Project Delivery Design, review, and update infrastructure architecture diagrams, solution documentation, Bills of Materials (BoM), and technical specifications. Develop and maintain infrastructure design documentation, implementation plans, integration procedures, and acceptance test documentation. Review solution definitions and engineering documentation to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements. Define infrastructure configurations, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, operating systems, and networking components. Coordinate with hardware deployment, software integration, and engineering teams during system assembly and deployment. Install, configure, validate, and hand over infrastructure platforms for system integration and production deployment. Support infrastructure configuration changes throughout project implementation and operational support phases. Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise during solution development. Deliver technical knowledge transfer and customer training where required. Identify infrastructure risks and recommend validated alternative solutions where appropriate. Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and best practices. Bid & Solution Support Support proposal and bid activities through the preparation and review of solution architectures, technical designs, and Bills of Materials. Provide infrastructure sizing, technical recommendations, and implementation estimates during pre-sales activities. Technical Leadership Maintain and enhance technical documentation, implementation guides, lessons learned, and knowledge repositories. Promote infrastructure standardisation, automation, and operational efficiency. Support the adoption of modern infrastructure technologies, including: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automation platforms Hybrid cloud environments Hyperconverged infrastructure AI-driven infrastructure monitoring Predictive analytics Contribute to infrastructure cost modelling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis. Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and software teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. Skills & Experience Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualification in Systems Engineering is advantageous. Essential Experience Minimum 7 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
