Corporate Counsel, Amazon Leo

We are looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to join the Amazon Leo for Government Legal team. Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.You will help Amazon Leo navigate new frontiers by reviewing government contract solicitations and proposals, providing guidance on subcontracts and technology development agreements, advising on intellectual property matters, and helping to ensure compliance with a wide range of international government contracts.This position may require access to export-controlled information (ECI) subject to EAR and ITAR. Final employment decision is contingent upon satisfactory completion of export control screenings and obtaining any necessary export licenses or approvals, based on nationality, citizenship, and other factors considered by applicable export control regulations. A day in the life In this role, you'll collaborate daily with Amazon Leo business teams, engineers, and program managers to provide real-time legal guidance on government contract opportunities. You'll review solicitation documents, draft and negotiate subcontracts, and advise on compliance requirements for space technology projects. You'll participate in cross-functional meetings to assess legal risks and develop creative solutions that enable the business to move quickly while maintaining compliance. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of legal experience - Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent - Law degree and admission as a lawyer Preferred qualifications Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
