About this role
Sales & Client Acquisition: Generate leads and identify potential customers for carpentry services through outdoor sales activities, including cold calling, networking, and attending local events. Visit residential and commercial sites to assess client needs and recommend appropriate carpentry solutions. Present and demonstrate carpentry services, such as custom woodwork, cabinetry, framing, and furniture, to potential clients. Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads, track sales progress, and follow up with prospects to convert inquiries into signed contracts. Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with potential and existing customers, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process. Provide expert advice on design, materials, and project timelines to clients, ensuring they feel informed and confident in their purchasing decisions. Handle customer concerns and resolve issues effectively, ensuring a positive customer experience. Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Conduct in-person meetings and sales presentations to showcase carpentry services, project portfolios, and pricing. Prepare and deliver competitive, customized quotes based on client specifications and requirements. Negotiate terms of sale, contracts, and pricing with clients to close deals and meet sales targets. Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in carpentry, construction, and home improvement to present the best offerings to clients. Analyze local competitors, identify unique selling points for the company’s carpentry services, and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Reporting & Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, client information, and progress reports. Submit weekly/monthly reports on sales activity, goals, and performance metrics to the sales manager. Collaboration with the Carpentry Team: Work closely with carpenters and project managers to ensure the seamless execution of sold projects. Ensure client expectations are aligned with project capabilities and timelines.
