Job Description Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacturer for Semi-Con Industry Position Title: Machinist Working Location: Seletar Aerospace Park, North-East Region Working Hours: Rotating Shifts Salary Package: Basic $1,800 - $2,500 + VB Duration: Permanent Key Responsibilities Perform machining work according to drawing requirements using machine tools such as CNC lathe, milling machine, or grinding machine. Carry out dimensional measurement and visual inspection on completed parts to ensure they meet specifications, using tools such as micrometers, height gauges, vernier calipers, and bore gauges. Set up parts on machines, including aligning and securing fixtures, preparing cutting tools, retrieving CNC programs, securing parts for machining, and qualifying parts for production. Monitor machining parameters such as feed, speed, and cutting tool life during the machining process, and provide suggestions to reduce cycle time. Observe any abnormal machine behaviour during machining and report issues to the department supervisor for follow-up action. Perform basic machine maintenance, such as refilling spindle oil, slide-way lubricating oil, removing metal chips inside the machine, and maintaining the tool magazine. Clean machines, equipment, and work areas regularly, and maintain good housekeeping standards. APPLY NOW!!! ITE / Nitec in Precision Engineering or at least 2 years of hands-on machining experience. Able to work rotating shifts. Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Heidenhain programming language will be an advantage.
