Job Description Industry/ Organization Type: Maritime Logistics and Shipbuilding Position Title: Marine Mechanical & Piping Engineer Working Location: Tai Seng Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible hours arrangement available) Salary Package: Basic Salary + VB + Medical Benefits Duration: Permanent Role Key Responsibilities Review machinery and equipment specifications to ensure they meet technical requirements, and interpret classification rules to respond to review comments. Understand equipment specifications and installation requirements for systems such as main engines, generators, propulsion systems, gearboxes, hydraulic equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and other related equipment. Understand marine piping systems such as bilge, ballast, tank gauging, cooling, fuel oil, sanitary, fire protection, and other related systems. Select suitable pump types, compressors, pipe materials, pipe thickness, valves, and fittings based on pressure rating and function. Liaise with designers and vendors to develop piping schematic drawings, machinery space equipment layouts, and equipment installation plans. Review mechanical interfaces for major equipment such as main engines, gearboxes, propeller shafting, and other related equipment. Work with engineers to develop detailed 3D ship models for production. This includes checking pipe routing, HVAC, electrical system installation, and other interfaces or clashes, as well as preparing MTOs for pipe routing, fittings, and pipe spools for production. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned. APPLY NOW!!! Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering. At least 5 years of relevant shipyard experience. Proficient in AutoCAD and comfortable using computer software. Able to understand shipbuilding processes, project requirements, and technical specifications, and discuss project matters with customers. Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to travel to Batam or other countries for technical meetings when required.
