Job Description Industry/ Organization Type: Production & Manufacturing Position Title: Welder Working Location: Tuas Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon-Fri: 8:00am – 5:30pm; Sat: 8:00am to 12.00pm) Salary Package: Basic salary + OT Pay + Variable Bonus Duration: Permanent Role Key Responsibilities Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan the work layout and procedures. Select the appropriate welding equipment and method based on the job requirements. Prepare components for welding according to specifications, including cutting materials to the required measurements using powered saws. Use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. Align components using calipers, rulers, and other measuring tools, and secure the parts with clamps. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions. Repair machinery and other components by welding parts and filling gaps. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for defects. Maintain equipment in safe condition. APPLY NOW!!! Relevant experience as a welder. Experience using different welding equipment and methods (TIG, MMA etc.) Experience using electrical and manual tools, such as saws, squares, and calipers. Able to read technical documents and drawings. Completion of a relevant apprenticeship programme is required. Relevant professional welding certification, such as an AWS welding certificate, is an advantage.
