The role requires strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration, RAC, Exadata, Data Guard, OCI, database security, performance tuning, migration, and disaster recovery across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, patch, upgrade, migrate, clone, and decommission Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c+). Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, Data Pump, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Ensure database availability, performance, security, and operational stability for critical systems. Implement and support Oracle Data Guard (Physical/Logical Standby, Active Data Guard) and DR failover activities. Perform backup, recovery, and DR testing using RMAN, Data Pump, and enterprise backup solutions. Administer Oracle Exadata Database Machine, including deployment, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Support OCI, Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS), and (ExaCC) environments. Support database migration, modernization, consolidation, and hybrid cloud initiatives. Perform performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Trace, TKPROF, Explain Plan, and SQL Tuning Advisor. Optimize SQL, indexing, partitioning, memory management, and database configuration. Implement database security controls including access management, privilege management, auditing, and hardening. Support Oracle GoldenGate replication, monitoring, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Administer PostgreSQL databases including backup, recovery, replication, upgrades, and tuning. Support AWS Oracle RDS operations including patching, snapshots, restores, and monitoring. Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for database automation and operational tasks. Perform RCA for production incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions. Participate in incident, change, problem management, and 24×7 production support. Requirements Minimum 10 years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience. Strong expertise in Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, and later versions. Extensive experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, Data Pump, and OEM. Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata Database Machine administration. Experience with OCI, Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS), and (ExaCC). Proven experience in database migration, upgrades, consolidation, and modernization. Strong knowledge of backup/recovery, HA, DR, and failover strategies. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate administration and replication troubleshooting. Advanced database performance tuning skills using Oracle diagnostic and tuning tools. Strong SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, memory management, and troubleshooting skills. Experience supporting mission-critical production environments. Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting. PostgreSQL DBA experience preferred. AWS Oracle RDS administration experience is an advantage. Knowledge of database security, hardening, compliance, and vulnerability remediation. Strong RCA, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills. Good understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and change management. Strong communication skills with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Oracle certifications (OCP, OCI, GoldenGate, Exadata) are preferred.
