About this role
Responsibilities: • Review of Project Specification, Approved PQP, ITP, WPS & NDT procedure prior to proceeding Project Inspection activities • To carry out Fit up Inspection as per latest approved drawing & WPS and ensure traceability of transferred Piece Mk No., Heat No., Size and grade of members • Monitor welding activities before, during and after welding in accordance with WPS, Codes and Standards requirements • To carry out Weld Visual Inspection and ensure Weld size as per drawing and Codes acceptance limits • To prepare weld map & Request for NDT as per ITP and witness with ITA & Clients. • To check Final Visual, Dimensional, Shape, Out of straightness and Pre camber as per drawing and acceptance Standards • Review of Calibration certificates such us Welding gauge, Measuring tape, NDT equipment’s etc.. • Liaise Inspection with ITA, NDT & Clients and Sign off all Inspection Reports • To Prepare/Update all Inspection Reports in Data Base • Review all NDT Reports and Sign off from ITA • To maintain all Inspection Reports Soft & Hard Copy with good filing system • Hand over/Submit all Compiled Inspection reports to Client as per Project/Client Requirements • Preparation of QC and Welders Performance • Liaise with Production/Project Team to ensure compliance of Quality requirements Requirements: • Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering • Certified Welding Inspector_ AWS or CSWIP • Min 5 Years’ Experience in the relevant field • Knowledge of Welding Process & activities • Knowledge of Codes and Standards
