Senior Educational Therapist (Locum)

Responsibilities · Provide one-on-one and/or group therapy sessions to address academic challenges. · Implement evidence-based academic interventions for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. · Develop and teach executive functioning skills to help students improve organization, time management, and study strategies. · Design and implement interventions focused on teaching children effective learning and academic strategies. · Provide individual assessment, evaluation, therapy, and management of clients. · Conduct school or home visits as required. · Provide written reports, email feedback, goal planning sheets, and home programs. · Prepare and maintain up-to-date, thorough, and legible documentation of each session with clients. · Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapeutic strategies as needed. · Establish and maintain regular, good communication/rapport with caregivers and teachers. · Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment. · Stay current with best practices and research in educational therapy and special education.
