The Role As a MarineSuperintendent (Tanker Fleet), you will play a pivotal role in overseeingnavigational standards, cargo operations, audits, and regulatory compliance.Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safetyand operational excellence, providing technical and operational support toMasters and crews. Key Responsibilities Fleet Operations &Compliance Oversee the safe and efficient operation of tanker vessels, ensuring full compliance with international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW), flag state requirements, and company policies. Supervise and follow up on voyage instructions, tank cleaning, and cargo operations. Verify that cargo and ballast handling plans are carried out safely and in line with regulations. Ensure vessels are operated in compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, and the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). · Oversee and monitor the Deck plannedmaintenance system (PMS) for all assigned vessels,ensuring that all scheduled maintenance. Inspections, Audits& Vetting Coordinate and monitor vetting inspections (SIRE, CDI), class audits, Flag State Inspections, and other statutory surveys. Conduct vessel visits, internal audits, and incident investigations. Oversee readiness for port state, vetting, and third-party inspections. Prepare responses to third-party inspection observations, Port State Control deficiencies, and audit findings, and follow up until satisfactory closure. Verify HVPQ and Q88 information provided by ships and ensure they are updated at all times. Safety, Training &Emergency Response Promote and embed a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the fleet. Identify training needs and provide mentorship or guidance to vessel crews. Support onboard mentoring and competency management initiatives.
