About this role
Main Duties of a Construction Safety Officer 1. Site Safety Management Ensure all construction activities comply with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act , MOM regulations , and company safety policies. Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe practices or conditions. Stop work immediately if serious safety violations or life-threatening conditions are observed. Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, confined space entry, hot works, and work-at-height. 2. Safety Documentation & Reporting Prepare and maintain Safety Reports , Risk Assessments (RA) , Safe Work Procedures (SWP) , and Permit-to-Work (PTW) records. Keep updated records of accident reports , near-miss incidents , and safety statistics . Assist in preparation for audits and inspections by authorities or clients. Maintain safety-related documentation such as MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for hazardous materials.
