Engineering Assistant

As a member of the Advanced Development team, you will - Support the team in building prototypes and test fixtures internally and with vendors. - Carry out testing on prototypes and products. - Carry out documentation of tests plans and test results. - Carry out purchasing of equipment and consumables for lab operations. - Lead laboratory and equipment maintenance activities. EDUCATION: - Diploma/ITE Certificate in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering - Industry experience is preferred but not required in the case of relevant experience gained - through academic engagements and hands-on experience. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: - Good collaboration skills. - Approachable and engaging. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proactive and independent in meeting commitments on assignments and activities. - Energetic and have a natural curiosity about technology and related activities. EXPERIENCE: - We are looking to bring together a collaborative team to drive excellence in the development of technology for products feature, function, and performance. - Passion and a natural curiosity for technology and excel in a good subset of the following skill areas. - Mechanical fixture design and working with vendors to delivery test setups. - PCB CAD design and working with vendors to deliver PCBAs for prototypes. - Good Skills in Soldering. - Experience in purchasing and maintaining lab equipment. - Experience in spot welding would be an added advantage. - Experience in battery and/or mechatronics products testing would be an advantage.
