Resident Technical Officer

Roles & Responsibilities Interpret project specifications and construction drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. Monitor site operations to verify adherence to approved method statements and work procedures. Ensure contractor execution aligns with consultant's instructions. Review drawings for discrepancies, report issues to the consultant ,and recommend practical solutions to prevent delays. Conduct inspections to confirm quality of workmanship and materials meet project standards. Maintain thorough documentation, including site inspections, safety records, and approved/as-built drawings.· Keep detailed and up-to-date records of site progress , conditions, and housekeeping; prepare regular progress reports. Review and validate contractor progress claims for completed work and delivered/stored materials or equipment. Witness all contractor-led inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure compliance with design specifications. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering At least 3 years of relevant experience Possess a valid Resident Technical Officer (RTO)Certificate accredited by IES or ACES. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
