About this role
Fair warning before you read on If you're the kind of creative who's happy making pretty decks and safe campaigns, this probably isn't for you. We're looking forsomeone who gets a little twitchy when a brief feels too comfortable —someone who'd rather chase the idea nobody's tried yet than the one that'sguaranteed to work. If that sounds like you, keep reading. Who we are Briq is an end-to-end marketing solutions agency headquartered in Singapore, built by people who got tired of "the way it's always been done." We're not the biggest agency in the room, and we like it that way —it means every person here actually shapes the work, instead of disappearing into it. We act less like a vendor and more like the strategic, slightly obsessive extension of our clients' own teams, pulling from experience across industries to help brands punch above their weight. We believe the best ideas are pragmatic and bold —never one at the expense of the other. The role: Creative Lead This isn't a "manage the team and sign-off on decks" job. You'll be the person clients trust to translate ambiguous problems into ideas that actually move culture and business metrics in the same direction. Part creative director, part strategist, part hype-person for your team, part diplomat with clients — all held together by genuinely great taste. You'll set the tone for what "good" looks like at Briq, and then go make sure it happens. What you'll actually be doing Lead the humans, not just the work Build and mentor a team of designers who feel safe pitching weird ideas out loud Create a studio culture where critique makes the work better, not people smaller Divide up the work smartly, and protect your team's time to do it well Own the creative vision Turn client goals and brand guidelines into concepts with a genuine point of view Set — and defend — the visual and verbal direction across every deliverable Give feedback that sharpens ideas instead of sanding off their edges Be the person clients actually want to talk to Become the trusted voice clients call when they're stuck, not just when they're briefing Run pitches and presentations that feel like a conversation, not a performance Keep timelines, budgets, and expectations honest — without ever making the work feel small Play well with the rest of the machine Partner with media teams so brilliant ideas don't die in the media plan Bring other departments into the process early, not just to review your homework Keep everyone rowing in the same direction, even when the brief keeps shifting What you bring 8+ years in a creative leadership role, ideally inside an agency or brand marketing team A portfolio that makes us want to hire you and steal a few of your ideas The ability to sell a big idea in a client meeting and then actually make sure it gets built well Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite and a genuine feel for copy, even if writing isn't your main craft Curiosity about where Generative AI fits into the creative process — as a tool that sharpens ideas, not one that replaces them A degree in design, advertising, marketing, or a related field (or a career that made the degree unnecessary — we're flexible) A working sense of humour and a high tolerance for tight deadlines What you get A seat at the table on real client relationships from dayone. A team that wants a leader, not a gatekeeper. And an agency small enoughthat your fingerprints stay on the work — from the first scribble on awhiteboard to the campaign that ends up in someone's portfolio someday. Ready to make work you're actually proud of? Send usyour portfolio and a few lines on the best idea you've ever fought to keepalive. Briq — thinking without the box.
