Field Engineer

Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning activities Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering teams and stakeholders Ensure all site issues, queries, and solutions are properly documented, tracked, and closed Support equipment installation, plant configuration, and LV secondary systems including cabling activities Monitor daily site progress and coordinate closely with contractors, partners, and internal teams Act as the interface between site teams and engineering offices, ensuring timely communication and resolution Participate in technical meetings and support the Site Manager in discussions with stakeholders Ensure proper implementation of change management, site queries, redlines, and documentation processes Maintain accurate as-built documentation and ensure all teams use the latest approved drawings Analyze technical issues, assess impacts on schedule/cost, and propose practical solutions Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across projects Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements and promote safe work practices Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Experience in HVDC, substations, or large-scale AC power or infrastructure projects Prior experience supporting construction and commissioning in a site-based role Strong understanding of electrical drawings (SLD, layouts, cable lists, connection diagrams, etc.) Knowledge of equipment installation, cabling systems, and construction sequences Familiar with engineering processes such as change management and site documentation workflows Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced site environment Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently an…
