Quantity Surveyor

About the role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is a full-time position based in the Upper Thomson Central Region. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects to ensure financial accuracy and control Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and maintain project profitability Monitor project costs continuously and identify potential savings opportunities to optimize expenditure Prepare progress payment claims and final accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters to support project decision-making Collaborate effectively with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to align financial and operational goals Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards to uphold project integrity and legal requirements Required competencies and certifications Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry Preferred competencies and qualifications Proficiency in the use of quantity surveying software and tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to cost management and contract issues Excellent communication and negotiation abilities demonstrated in contract discussions and stakeholder engagement Thorough understanding of construction contracts and regulations Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Other Information What we offer - We provide a rewarding and fulfilling work experience with a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
