SEA Strategic Partnership Manager - Global Payment

Team Introduction The Global Payment team provides both payment services and financial services to serve the ByteDance ecosystem, such as payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, consumer financing, merchant financing, insurance and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. Responsibilities This role is responsible for developing and managing both payment and strategic partnerships, to achieve best-in-class payment service solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both the payment industry and strategic partnerships management experience, excellent understanding of payment business, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of driving results through strategic collaborations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring continuous alignment and collaboration. - Work together with both the solution team, product team, strategy team and local BD team, to build up the most suitable partnerships for the payment business - Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners to enhance global payment capabilities in each country together with the local BD team - Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with the company’s objectives and growth plans. - Monitor and analyze payment, financial service performance metrics to ensure optimal outcomes. - Identify opportunities for improving payment systems and processes through strategic partnerships. - Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape in the global payments space. - Conducting market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats to the business. - Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on market analysis and partner feedback. - Establish clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the partnerships. Track and report on the progress of OKRs, making adjustments as necessary to achieve targets. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions. - Proven ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects simultaneously. - Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications - 5 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic roles within the payments industry. - Ideally, the candidate to have experience working in non-bank IPS companies. - Knowledge of global payment systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. - Strong negotiation and contract management skills. - Occasional travels
