Responsibilities 1. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the regional food safety programme. 2. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, standards, and policies across all regional operations. 3. Establish and enhance food safety risk management frameworks, controls, audits, inspections, and corrective action processes. 4. Develop and deliver regional food safety training, guidance, and best-practice resources to support operational excellence. 5. Partner with internal teams, vendors, regulators, and external stakeholders to drive adherence to food safety standards and requirements. 6. Define, monitor, and report on food safety KPIs, SOPs, dashboards, and other data-driven tools to measure programme effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities. 7. Drive innovation in food safety by supporting new sites, evolving food service models, emerging technologies, and industry-leading practices. Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline. 2. At least 5 years' experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field, ideally across multiple countries or regions. 3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices. HACCP certification or an equivalent food safety qualification. 4. Experience developing and implementing food safety management systems, quality assurance programmes, and risk controls. 5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements. 6. Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis, including occasional short-notice travel. Preferred Qualifications 1. Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional, vendor, and business stakeholders. 2. Strong project management, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 3. Experience leading audits, inspections, continuous improvement initiatives, and corrective action programmes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear presentations to diverse audiences. 4. Experience designing and implementing food safety programmes within large, multinational organisations. ISO 22000 Lead Auditor certification. 5. Experience leveraging technology, data analytics, or AI-powered tools to enhance food safety programmes and operational efficiency.
