About this role

Job Responsibilities: Establish BIM implementation strategy, requirements, process, workflow and needs for construction projects. Optimise design and downstream construction processes through the implementation of BIM and VDC concepts beyond 3-D modelling and conflict resolution. Plan, manage and maintain the 3-D BIM data and complexity of content to meet project deliverable requirements. Embrace a holistic approach and strategically plan for BIM execution in green building projects. Manage all drawings (e.g. Shop drawings, Layout Plans drawings and As-Built drawings) with all respective trades (e.g. Architectural, Structural, MEP and Specialist Sub-contractors works), as well as to resolve all design issues and de-conflict clashes in BIM drawings. Lead and support the projects’ BIM Team(s) including managing of sub-contractors’ BIM Team(s). Attend and chair design technical meetings with Clients, Consultants and Sub-contractors. Engage project teams to innovate and leverage advanced tools to solve project problems. Assist the QS department in variation order claims related to design changes. Develop a training program for design managers and engineers to improve the use of BIM authoring tools. Any other duties that may be assigned. Requirements: Degree / Master in Architecture / Engineering / Construction or relevant field. Minimum 10 years of local working experience in the related field with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in handling BIM projects. Trained and proficient in AutoCAD, Revit / BIM software in Architectural / Structural / MEP and other visualization and simulation applications. Experience in implementing the BIM adoption of design authoring and collaboration technology tools in construction projects. Good understanding of the Singapore Construction Industry regulations (e.g. Building code, BCA, URA and LTA). Experience in leading a BIM Team in Shop drawing production, coordination and document control. A positive team leader with good judgment, prompt decision-making abilities and ability to meet tight deadlines. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate with knowledge in Specialist trade works (e.g. Curtainwall, Stone and Interior Design works) will be an added advantage.
