Project Manager

Responsible for the successful and effective project management inclusive of planning, implementation, execution, scheduling, monitoring and handover within specified schedule, budget and meeting client’s quality and relevant regulatory requirements - Critical scrutiny of contract documents and drawings, communicate effectively and negotiate with consultants, clients, authorities, main and sub -contractors on engineering, contractual matters and project implementation - Assists in ensuring that shop drawings are completed and submissions to the main contractor are carried out in a timely manner with drafting department - Understand contract documentation in conjunction with Bills of Quantity ( B. Q. ) and material specifications - Responsible for budget controls, tracking of expenditures and effectively manage and reduce the costs of delivering projects - Ensure health and safety and regulatory compliance in accordance with all applicable and permit standards and requirements - Attends project kick-off meetings, ongoing meetings and project closure meetings with main contractor, consultants and other parties - Responsible for the submission of monthly progress claims and reports to the main contractor - Assist in monitoring project cost budgets and ensuring that desired profit margins are achieved through cost containment, material wastage control and etc - Any other duties as may be assigned Requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board ( PEB ) Singapore will be an advantage - Minimum six ( 06 ) years of relevant project management experience in local construction industry - Posses excellent leadership, planning, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills to lead a team of engineers and manage the sub-contractors - Able to take on numerous challenging tasks while simultaneously meeting high standards and deadlines / vision - Highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details - Proficient in MS Project - Able to commence work on a short notice will be an advantage - Should be contactable by means of mobile phone at any time of the day - Ability to multi-task and manage ad-hoc projects in a fast-paced environment - Independent, responsible, organized and able to work under pressure
