Operator

Job Summary: This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of production within the distribution area. This includes assembly, test, loading of customer-specific software, packaging, inventory control, shipping, and any other tasks required to meet production targets. Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure that all applicable processes and procedures are followed during the entire order building process Adhere to company standards and regulatory on Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines Load customer-specific software on vision systems, barcode readers and industrial PCs, etc. Use production orders to select the correct material and quantities to build customer kits and validate those kits against the appropriate production orders Place material into the correct stocking location / pull material from the correct location Use delivery pick lists to accurately pick sales order material and quantities for processing Ad hoc duties as instructed by the supervisor Required Skills/Abilities: High energy, self-motivated individual capable of performing order picking, system configuration, assembly, inspection, and kitting functions on customer orders Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to always maintain an elevated level of housekeeping and inventory accuracy Available to work overtime as needed Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse or distribution center (AOC) environment preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 pounds) at times.
