Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Logistics Assistant Manager to oversee warehouse operations, transportation, and delivery activities while ensuring cost-effective logistics management. The successful candidate will support the Logistics Manager in optimizing inventory flow, maintaining high service levels, managing logistics budgets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch. Ensure efficient warehouse space utilization and maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits. Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards, housekeeping, and operational procedures. Supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate work schedules to achieve operational targets. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency Delivery & Transportation Management Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries. Monitor fleet utilization, driver performance, and route optimization. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and transport vendors. Resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, and transportation delays promptly. Track delivery performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, delivery accuracy, and transportation costs. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. Budget & Cost Management Assist in preparing and managing the annual logistics and warehouse operating budget. Monitor logistics expenses, including transportation, warehousing, fuel, maintenance, and outsourced logistics costs. Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Review vendor quotations, negotiate service rates, and monitor contract performance. Prepare monthly budget reports and variance analyses for management review. Ensure efficient utilization of company resources while maintaining service quality. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth inventory flow. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory. Support demand planning and replenishment activities. Ensure timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems such as WMS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
