As a Claims Executive – WICA, you will play a critical role in supporting injured employees, employers, insurers, and healthcare providers throughout the WICA claims journey while ensuring compliance with Singapore's Work Injury Compensation Act. Job Summary As a Claims Executive – WICA, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration and management of Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) claims on behalf of insurers and corporate clients. You will assess compensability, coordinate with stakeholders, facilitate timely claim resolution, and ensure compliance with WICA regulations, service standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end administration of WICA claims from first notification of injury through final settlement and closure. Review claim documentation to determine compensability in accordance with the Work Injury Compensation Act and applicable guidelines. Liaise with employers, employees, insurers, medical providers, rehabilitation specialists, lawyers, and government authorities to progress claims efficiently. Monitor claim developments, medical treatment plans, and recovery progress to ensure timely claim resolution. Calculate and process compensation benefits, medical expenses, and reimbursement payments accurately and within agreed timelines. Ensure all claim files are maintained with complete and accurate documentation to support audit, regulatory, and client requirements. Communicate claim status updates proactively and professionally to all stakeholders. Handle enquiries, complaints, and claim escalations effectively while maintaining a high level of customer service. Identify potential fraud, abuse, or irregularities and escalate concerns in accordance with company procedures. Adhere to client service level agreements (SLAs), internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Support performance reporting, claim reviews, and quality assurance activities as required. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and operational excellence within the WICA claims team. Preferred Competencies & Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Minimum 1–2 years of experience handling WICA claims, workers' compensation claims, employee benefits claims, or insurance/TPA claims administration. Good understanding of Singapore's Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) and related claims processes. Experience working in a Third-Party Administrator (TPA), insurance company, broker, or claims management environment will be advantageous. Familiarity with claims systems, claims documentation, and payment processing procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple claims simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically. CGI (Singapore) qualification or relevant insurance certification will be an advantage.
