JOBSUMMARY We are seeking passionate and dynamic dance teachers able to teach one of the following genres: jazz, lyrical, or contemporary. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The role focuses on delivering engaging, technically sound lessons and competition training, with a warm, encouraging and student-focused teaching approach. Full-time teachers additionally contribute to curriculum and quality initiatives. JOB ROLE 1. Teaching & Student Development A) Regular Dance Classes · Plan and deliver structured lessons in assigned genres (jazz, lyrical, or contemporary) at direct centres and institutional partners, in line with school standards and plans set by HQ. · Prepare students for graded examinations and school showcases. · Provide constructive, confidence-building feedback to support student development. · Maintain class discipline, a safe and positive learning environment, and accurate class records while tracking student progress. · Engageparents through showcases, parent-teacher meetings, and regular communications. B) Artistic & Competition Training (Optional) · Choreograph original competition and performance routines across assigned genres, including selection of music, costumes, and staging concepts. · Plan and lead competition team training: technique classes, conditioning sessions, and intensive rehearsals ahead of major events. · Clean and refine routines, formations, and transitions to competition standard, including routines set by guest choreographers. · Develop individualised training plans for competition students, monitoring technical progress, artistry, and performance readiness. · Conduct auditions and recommend selection of students for competition teams and featured roles. · Manage competition logistics: registration, entry paperwork, music submissions, schedules, and communications with organisers and parents. · Accompany and supervise students at competitions and external performances, ensuring their safety, discipline, and well-being. · Instil proper warm-up, injury-prevention, and recovery practices; foster confidence, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture. 2. Events & Projects · Work with HQ to organise and execute concerts, recitals, examinations, and competitions. · Lead or support special projects such as exchange programmes, workshops, and holiday dance camps. · Provide on-site support during major events to ensure smooth execution and a positive participant experience. 3. Curriculum & Quality (Full-Time Teachers Only) · Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of the dance curriculum, syllabi, and training manuals. · Provide feedback from classes and training assignments to support curriculum R&D. · Comply with, and help cascade, departmental SOPs and policies to the dance teaching team to ensure consistent programme delivery across centres. REQUIREMENTS · Diploma or degree in Dance, or equivalent professional dance training in a recognised syllabus (e.g., CSTD, ISTD, or equivalent). · Strong ability to teach at least one of the following genres: jazz, lyrical, or contemporary; ability to teach more than one genre is a strong advantage. · Minimum2–3 years of proven experience in teaching dance, ideally to children and youth, from beginner to advanced levels. · Strong knowledge of techniques, terminology, and performance practices in the genre(s)of specialisation. · Ability to choreograph and prepare students for examinations, performances, and competitions. · Warm, encouraging, and student-focused teaching approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students. · Passionate about dance education and committed to nurturing students' artistic and personal growth. · Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, operations, admin, and management staff. · Physically fit to demonstrate dance …
