About this role
This role involves specialised installation of premium modular kitchen, wardrobe and interior cabinetry at residential and commercial project sites. The position requires extensive manual handling, technical installation skills and the ability to work in physically demanding construction environments. Employees must be comfortable working in hot, humid, dusty and non-air-conditioned sites while safely operating power tools and handling heavy cabinetry. Responsibilities Install premium modular kitchen, wardrobe and interior cabinetry according to technical drawings and manufacturer specifications. Interpret installation drawings, shop drawings and assembly instructions accurately. Measure, level and prepare installation areas before commencing work. Assemble, fit and adjust cabinetry on-site to ensure precise alignment and quality workmanship. Carry out rectification and adjustment works where necessary. Operate carpentry machinery, power tools and hand tools safely. Load, unload and transport cabinetry, hardware and installation materials between warehouse and project sites. Perform manual lifting, carrying and movement of heavy cabinets, panels, countertops and related materials with team lifting where required. Deliver cabinetry to project sites and assist in site logistics when necessary. Work closely with project coordinators, designers and site supervisors to ensure timely completion. Working Conditions Applicants should be aware that this is a physically demanding trade position. The role requires employees to: Perform strenuous manual labour daily. Lift and carry heavy cabinetry and installation materials. Work in hot, humid, dusty and non-air-conditioned construction environments. Stand, kneel, squat, bend and climb repeatedly throughout the workday. Work at occupied homes, renovation sites and construction sites. Occasionally work beyond normal hours to meet project schedules and handover deadlines. Requirements Minimum 18 years' experience in cabinet installation, modular furniture installation or carpentry works. Ability to interpret technical and shop drawings. Proficient in using carpentry hand tools and power tools. Good understanding of cabinet alignment, levelling and finishing. Physically fit and able to perform heavy manual work daily. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
