About this role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support residents in their activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the guidance of trained nurses. Key Responsibilities: Resident Care Support Provide assistance to residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Monitor and record basic physiological observations as required. Carry out assigned nursing care activities in accordance with care plans and established procedures. Support nursing staff during medical emergencies and crisis situations when needed. Assist residents with personal care tasks, including toileting, continence care (including diaper changes), bathing, grooming, and dressing. Facilitate and encourage participation in life enrichment and recreational activities while preserving each resident's dignity and independence. Operational & Clinical Support Assist healthcare professionals during clinical assessments, consultations, and treatments. Safely escort and transfer residents with stable conditions for medical appointments, internal transfers, or hospital visits. Quality & Continuous Improvement Contribute to quality assurance initiatives by participating in audits, reviews, and continuous improvement activities to enhance resident care and service standards. Requirements: Minimum GCE N/O Levels, NITEC in Nursing, Healthcare, Community Care, or related qualifications preferred. Experience in acute care settings, private hospitals, healthcare, eldercare, nursing homes, or community care settings is an advantage. Compassionate and patient-centered with a strong commitment to quality resident care. Comfortable assisting residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and continence care. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit and able to support residents with mobility and transfers. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required. Positive, patient, and responsible, with a willingness to attend relevant training and continuous learning programs.
