Junior Legal Counsel

About our client A MAS-licensed Major Payment Institution operating at the intersection of cross-border payments, stablecoin infrastructure, and digital asset services — is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join their growing Singapore team. This is a hands-on in-house role where you'll work directly with Product, Compliance, and Business teams across payments, OTC, custody, and wealth-related products. What you'll do Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements across customer, partner, vendor, custody, and technology arrangements Provide legal and regulatory support on Singapore financial services matters (PSA, SFA, MAS notices) Support product launches, partner onboarding, and governance documentation Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal resources Use AI tools in legal drafting and review workflows — and help improve them What we're looking for 2–5 PQE, qualified in Singapore, Hong Kong, or another common law jurisdiction Background in banking & finance or capital markets (from private practice or in-house) Experience in payments, fintech, or digital assets is a plus — genuine curiosity about the space is a must Strong contract drafting skills and commercial judgment — you give answers, not just options Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment If it sounds like your next move, please don’t hesitate to apply.
