THIS IS A 2-YEAR CONTRACT ROLE Job Summary: The Defence Collective Singapore (DCS) is seeking a motivated and experienced exhibition professional to support the planning, development, implementation, and management of exhibitions and gallery projects. The staff will play a key role in the successful delivery of the NS60 Exhibition , including the planning, coordination, and management of its travelling exhibition programme across 20–30 locations to maximise public outreach, engagement, and impact. The staff will also support the delivery of other strategic exhibition and gallery development projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high museum and exhibition standards. Key Responsibilities Support the planning, development, project management, and implementation of permanent, temporary, travelling, and special exhibitions. Coordinate and manage the end-to-end delivery of the NS60 travelling exhibition across multiple venues, ensuring smooth logistics, installation, maintenance, and de-installation. Assist in project planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, contract administration, and risk management to ensure timely and effective project delivery. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, consultants, designers, contractors, conservators, and venue partners, to achieve project objectives. Support the development of exhibition concepts, design coordination, production, fabrication, installation, and commissioning. Ensure artefacts and exhibition assets are handled, installed, and maintained in accordance with museum standards, with due consideration for conservation, safety, and security requirements. Monitor project progress, resolve implementation issues, and prepare project reports, presentations, and post-project evaluations. Contribute to continuous improvements in exhibition development processes, visitor experience, and operational effectiveness. Undertake other duties and projects assigned by the Director or management. Requirements Tertiary qualification in Museum Studies, Exhibition Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, Arts Management, or a related discipline. Preferably at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in exhibition development, museum/gallery operations, project management, or a related field. Experience managing exhibition projects involving multiple stakeholders and external vendors will be an advantage. Knowledge of exhibition production, object handling, museum standards, and installation methodologies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Rhinoceros, Revit, BIM, and other exhibition design software would be an advantage. Strong project management, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Willing to travel to project sites and support installations, de-installations, and occasional work outside normal office hours when required.
