Job Summary Intermediate Designers at DesignAgency collaborate with senior staff to design and deliver projects of moderate complexity, manage project time, and build strong client relationships under supervision. Responsibilities Design innovative, thoughtful, and functional interior and architectural concepts that create impactful client experiences Develop and execute design approaches and concepts that exceed client expectations and project goals Produce or oversee creation of renderings and presentations that effectively communicate design intent and inspire clients and teams Conceive and design project elements of moderate complexity or smaller projects from design development through closeout Manage projects of moderate complexity from proposal stage through concept, construction, and closeout phases Master development, continuity, and detailing of design concepts to ensure design integrity Develop expertise in appropriate construction techniques relevant to project requirements Produce high-quality, clear, comprehensive, and consistent drawing and documentation sets Minimize rework, errors, and omissions through careful design and documentation practices Contribute actively to the firm’s design dialogue and collaborative culture Lead, motivate, and develop design teams to consistently deliver excellent design, technical quality, and client service Participate in developing systems and processes that improve design quality, technical standards, and client service Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to encourage repeat business Manage personal and project team time effectively to meet firm targets for time expenditure and billing Use Ajera software to accurately log and manage personal time records Required competencies and certifications Interior Design Degree or Diploma, or equivalent Minimum 5 years of industry experience Proven design experience in luxury/lifestyle hospitality and food & beverage sectors Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp for professional design work Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for design presentations and documentation Understanding of local building codes is beneficial but not required Other Information A portfolio is required as part of the application.
