What we need: Reporting to Operations Engineering Director, this newly created role willlead engineering operations for mission-critical data centers across Asia.You’ll ensure the reliability and efficiency of mechanical, electrical, andcontrol systems while driving sustainability and innovation. Key responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance, root causeanalysis, and commissioning for new builds and retrofits, as well as acting asthe primary point of contact for fit-out projects and customer customizationrequests. Key responsibilities · Direct and overseeday-to-day Operations Engineering activities across multiple data centerfacilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. · Ensure continuousavailability of critical infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, andassociated support systems, to maintain 24x7 data center operations. · Support preventiveand predictive maintenance programs to enhance system reliability, resiliency,and operational performance. · Support root causeanalysis (RCA) investigations and drive corrective and preventive action plansfor critical incidents impacting data center reliability and availability. · Conduct riskassessments and implement mitigation strategies to strengthen infrastructureresiliency and minimize operational risks. · Conduct periodicsite inspections, physical audits, and operational performance reviews toensure compliance, reliability, and adherence to operational standards. · Support operationsteams in conducting infrastructure due diligence, system verification, and"pull-the-plug" testing to validate system integrity and resiliency. · Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operationalexcellence, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimization. · Collaborateclosely with Engineering, Design, and Construction teams to support new datacenter builds, capacity expansion projects, upgrades, and retrofit initiatives. · Providetechnical oversight and support for data hall fit-outs, as well as power andcooling infrastructure implementation projects. · Participatein and provide technical leadership during Commissioning Level 4 and Level 5activities. · Reviewand provide technical oversight of design drawings and commissioning testprocedures to ensure lessons learned are effectively captured. · Reviewand approve method statements, technical procedures, and execution plans formajor retrofit, upgrade, and infrastructure modification projects. · Promotethe adoption of industry best practices while ensuring compliance withcorporate standards, regulatory requirements, and global operationalguidelines. · Partnerwith vendors and service providers to establish, validate, document, andmaintain critical equipment settings and standards across all data centersites. · Collaboratewith Country Facility teams to evaluate and assess customer requests forinfrastructure customization and operating environment variations for bothexisting and prospective customers. Thesuccessful candidate: · Degree inMechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. · Minimum of 10years’ experience in mission-critical data centeroperations across APAC. · Experience workingin hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center environments. · Knowledge in datacenter operations, commercials, construction capital projects strategy andsupply chain management. · Solidunderstanding of data center commissioning processes, including integratedsystems testing and operational readiness activities. · Knowledge andexperience with liquid cooling technologies is highly desirable. · Serve as theSubject Matter Expert for Mechanical and BMS, providing technical guidanceacross the organization. · Strong technicalknowledge of mechanical infrastructure, controls, monitoring systems, andoperational best practices within data centers. · Ability toreview, assess, and optimize mechanical system performance to ensurereliability, efficiency, and resiliency of critical infrastructure. · Strong sense ofownership, accountability, and personal responsibility, with the ability tomake independent decisions. · Collabor…
