Vessel IT Specialist (Ship Owner)

Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for vessel applications and onboard IT systems across the fleet. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade shipboard software and applications. Troubleshoot application, system, and connectivity issues, coordinating with internal teams and vendors where necessary. Support the deployment of new digital solutions and software enhancements onboard vessels. Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Assist with user training and provide technical guidance to vessel personnel. Maintain system documentation, user guides, and support records. Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements. Work closely with technical, fleet, and IT teams to improve operational efficiency through technology. Participate in testing, implementation, and rollout of new applications and system upgrades. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, application support, or vessel IT within the maritime industry. Experience supporting vessel applications, onboard networks, or fleet IT systems is highly preferred. Good understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting. Familiarity with maritime communication systems, satellite connectivity, or shipboard IT infrastructure is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel onboard vessels when required.
