Job Summary The Assistant Director, Revenue & Commerce leads commercial growth by managing strategic partnerships with AI and technology firms, sponsors, and enterprise clients. This role drives revenue generation, nurtures key accounts, and provides commercial insights to support business planning. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth through sponsorships, commercial partnerships, memberships, and collaborations. Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities with AI companies, technology firms, corporate organisations, government agencies, and ecosystem partners. Prepare commercial proposals, partnership packages, presentations, and business cases to support business development efforts. Support commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and partnership renewals to secure favourable terms. Manage key sponsor, strategic partner, and enterprise accounts as the primary relationship manager to ensure long-term engagement and value creation. Build partnerships by understanding client objectives and identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration and account growth. Oversee partner onboarding, engagement, renewal, and fulfilment of sponsorship commitments and commercial deliverables throughout the partnership lifecycle. Act as a strategic liaison between commercial stakeholders and senior management by providing revenue reports, commercial forecasts, market intelligence, and executive briefings. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in AI, technology, and digital economy sectors to inform commercial strategy. Recommend enhancements to commercial offerings, pricing strategies, and partnership models to improve business outcomes. Collaborate with marketing, programmes, events, finance, and operations teams to deliver integrated commercial initiatives. Represent the organisation at industry events, networking engagements, business meetings, and partner discussions to expand the commercial ecosystem. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across public, private, and non-profit sectors to support ecosystem growth. Ensure all commercial activities comply with organisational policies and contractual obligations. Required competencies and certifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications, Economics, International Trade, or related discipline. Proven experience in revenue and commercial management, business development, strategic partnerships, account management, stakeholder engagement, e-commerce, or international trade. Ability to identify revenue opportunities, develop partnership strategies, and drive sustainable business growth. Demonstrated skills in building and managing relationships with AI companies, technology firms, sponsors, strategic partners, and enterprise clients. Experience managing overseas accounts and cross-border commercial relationships, with knowledge of business environments, market dynamics, and cultural practices in Greater China and East Asia. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to engage diverse stakeholders across sectors. Analytical and problem-solving skills to prepare commercial reports, revenue forecasts, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM platforms is advantageous.
