Doehle Shipmanagement Pte. Ltd., Singapore is looking to recruit a Crewing Manager to join its shipmanagement team in Singapore. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the company's crewing function and ensuring crewing objectives and targets are achieved in alignment with the company's strategy. The role requires a leader who leads by example, exercises sound judgment and decision-making, fosters continuous improvement and drives operational excellence through effective team leadership and stakeholder management. Your tasks and responsibilities: Oversee daily crewing operations, including crew recruitment deployment, scheduling, rotations and retention to ensure vessels are adequately manned with qualified seafarers. Monitor crewing KPIs, prepare quarterly reports, and manage crewing budgets, forecasts, wage structures and related reporting requirements. Manage, motivate, and develop team members, identify training needs and provide feedback through performance review processes. Support seafarer development through promotion, appraisal, re-employment, and competency enhancement processes while promoting crew welfare and well-being initiatives. Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, company procedures, contractual obligations, data protection regulations (PDPA) and cyber security requirements. Maintain effective relationships with crew agencies, third-party crew managers, customers, and relevant stakeholders, support emergency response activities, manage crewing-related documentation and undertake additional duties as assigned. Preferable qualifications and requirements: A motivated crew management professional with extensive experience in the shipping industry, including exposure to team leadership responsibilities. Strong understanding of international maritime regulations, crewing standards and vessel manning requirements. Fluent in written and spoken English, enabling clear communication and coordination with colleagues, crew agencies and vessels globally. Good command of MS Office (M365), with a structured and systematic approach to reporting, KPI tracking, budgeting and operational documentation. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage and resolve issues under operational pressure. Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as required for operational support and stakeholder engagement.
