Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food safety and regulatory compliance across the business, ensuring all food and non-food products meet applicable regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role focuses on maintaining food safety systems, supporting audits, managing regulatory documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to uphold product quality and compliance. This role is based in Tampines North . Key Responsibilities Food Safety Support the implementation and continuous improvement of food safety programmes, policies, and compliance initiatives across retail operations. Conduct food safety, hygiene, supplier, and product audits, including shelf-life assessments, product specification reviews, and production trials, while ensuring follow-up on corrective actions. Maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), including documentation, reporting, testing records, complaint tracking, and compliance monitoring. Assist in investigating food safety incidents, customer complaints, pest-related issues, and non-conformances, coordinating corrective and preventive actions with relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external service providers to support food safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Coordinate food safety training, awareness programmes, and communications to strengthen compliance and food safety culture. Monitor updates to food safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring relevant changes are communicated and implemented. Provide administrative support for audits, inspections, certifications, and other food safety-related projects. Regulatory Affairs Ensure food and non-food products comply with local regulatory requirements, including product labelling, ingredient declarations, packaging information, and product claims before market launch. Review product specifications and labels, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Manage regulatory submissions, product registrations, certifications, licence renewals, and mandatory approvals for imported products. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and business impact. Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, suppliers, and business partners to facilitate product approvals and resolve regulatory matters. Maintain regulatory documentation, compliance trackers, and certification records, including Halal certifications, cosmetic notifications, and other statutory requirements. Qualifications Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, and/or related discipline. 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or F&B industry. Good understanding of food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and product compliance for food and non-food products. Attention to detail with the ability to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions. Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions. Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
