(Temporary - 6 Months) Voucher Examiner (Accounts Payable)

The position is one of the three Voucher Examiners in FMC Singapore, performs full range of Voucher Examiner's duties, responsible for processing payment vouchers of annual average value of US$37 million for all agencies at post. Audits, examines and processes all types of vouchers, both routine and complex, ensuring that USG laws and regulations are complied with, obligations are sufficient to fund vouchers. Voucher records management and responds to various data calls. The incumbent is also the section timekeeper and backup main timekeeper for the Embassy. This is a temporary six month position. Requirements: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item in their application. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified. Minimum three (3) years' experience in finance, accounts payable/receivable, disbursement, vouchering, and/or allowance required with minimum two (2) years of full-time post secondary study in management, business management, accounting or finance at college or university is required, OR Minimum five (5) years' experience in finance, accounts payable/receivable, disbursement, vouchering, and/or allowance required with minimum secondary school education or high school education is required. Good working knowledge (speaking/reading/writing) in English is required. Good knowledge of accounting principles and the Accounts Payable process. Must possess strong attention to detail and be able to review complex documentation for accuracy, and detect discrepancies to prevent duplicate payments. Strong computational and analytical skills with excellent customer service. Strong computer skills in MS Office programs, especially Excel required.
