Legal Director, Legal Capital Raising — Singapore EQT is a differentiated global investment organisation with over 30 years of history investing in, developing and owning companies. With AUM of over EUR 260 billion, EQT manages and advises a broad range of investment funds and vehicles across the world, driven by a mission to generate attractive returns and future-proof companies. Our legal function is a critical enabler of that mission — and this role sits at the heart of it. About the Team EQT's legal function is structured around four pillars: M&A, Corporate, Real Estate and Capital Raising. The Capital Raising legal team operates mainly across Stockholm, London, and New York — and, increasingly, across Asia-Pacific — and currently comprises the team head and nine lawyers. The team works closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure knowledge transfer and consistently high-quality legal support. They cover both institutional funds as well as , private wealth products, including EQT's evergreen (Wealth Solutions) platform. Singapore is a well-established, multi-function EQT hub, with colleagues across Global Wealth Solutions (GWS), Global Client Solutions (GCS), and other legal teams already based in the region. This is a collaborative, internationally minded team that values both technical excellence and a genuinely collegial way of working. About the Role As Legal Director focused primarily on Wealth Solutions within the Capital Raising legal team, you will take autonomous ownership of complex legal workstreams supporting EQT's continued growth across Asia-Pacific, with a particular focus on private wealth (evergreen) products and open-ended funds. Based in Singapore and reporting to the team head, you will be a trusted legal partner across capital raising activities, funds, and distribution in the region — providing real-time, on-the-ground responsiveness and contributing directly to EQT's strategic development in APAC. • Lead legal support for the launch of Nexus Asia (ENXA), EQT's evergreen APAC fund, providing real-time responsiveness to ramped-up regional activity. • Drive legal support for evergreen distribution growth across Asia-Pacific, currently the fastest-growing region for Evergreen distribution, navigating jurisdiction-specific practices and engaging distributors whose principal booking centres are in Singapore. • Support institutional (GCS) fundraising with APAC-based clients, using local presence to stay close to developments and enable rapid, in-region legal support to the GCS team. • Build institutional knowledge and deepen relationships with EQT Asia (BPEA) teams to strengthen long-term organisational resilience across the region. • Build and strengthen relationships with internal APAC stakeholders (GWS, GCS, and Legal) and with local distributors and clients across APAC to improve negotiation outcomes and deepen partner trust. • Lead legal support for capital raising activities, including investor negotiations, review of fund and marketing documentation, and engagement with distributing banks and other counterparties. • Project-manage substantial, multi-party workstreams in close collaboration with external advisors and internal teams across geographies. • Advise on funds-related integration matters arising from M&A activity. • Monitor legal and regulatory trends relevant to private funds and capital markets, contributing to strategy and business planning. • Design and deliver legal training for colleagues across functions and backgrounds. • Identify opportunities to improve ways of working, including through digital tools and process enhancements. • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in other offices to ensure consistent, best-in-class legal support throughout the organisation.
