Technical Lead

Technical Lead (Curtains & Blinds Installation) Role Overview The Technical Lead is responsible for leading installation standards, technical execution, and on-site problem solving across the company’s curtain and blinds projects. This role goes beyond installation work. The Technical Lead acts as the bridge between sales, operations, factory, and installers to ensure projects are completed smoothly, professionally, and according to company standards. The Technical Lead is expected to lead by example, maintain quality control, train installers, and reduce costly mistakes or rework. Key Responsibilities Installation & Technical Oversight Handle complex curtain, blinds, motorised, and custom installation projects Provide technical solutions for difficult site conditions Ensure installation standards are maintained across all teams Conduct measurements and technical checks when required Support installers during technical escalations or urgent site issues Ensure proper usage and handling of company tools, materials, and vehicles Team Leadership Guide and mentor junior installers Train new installers on company standards and installation methods Maintain discipline, professionalism, and efficiency within the installation teams Assist in manpower planning and job allocation discussions Lead by example in attitude, punctuality, and workmanship Quality Control Reduce installation mistakes, rework, and customer complaints Conduct spot checks on completed projects Ensure finishing, alignment, fabric handling, and detailing meet company expectations Flag recurring operational or technical issues for improvement Coordination & Communication Work closely with Operations, Sales Consultants, and Factory teams Provide technical advice before and during projects Assist in project planning for large-scale or special projects Communicate professionally with clients, interior designers, and site personnel when required Continuous Improvement Help improve installation SOPs and workflow systems Suggest better methods, tools, or technical solutions Support the company in scaling technical standards and installer development Requirements Strong experience in curtain and blinds installation Able to independently solve technical and site-related issues Leadership and training capability Good communication and coordination skills Responsible, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure Singapore driving license preferred Experience with motorised systems and complex projects is an advantage Performance Indicators Installation quality and consistency Low rework and complaint rate Team discipline and technical competency Ability to solve technical issues independently Smooth completion of projects Training and development of junior installers Contribution to operational efficiency and standards
