Job Overview We are looking for a creative and hands-on Social Media Executive to manage the company’s day-to-day social media content and maintain a consistent online presence across platforms including Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Lemon8. This is primarily a social media content and posting role rather than a traditional marketing position. The main objective is to publish engaging content consistently, increase the company’s online exposure and help more potential customers discover our services. Where customers are successfully attracted through the employee’s content and purchase qualifying packages, the employee may receive an ongoing commission from those packages, subject to the company’s commission structure and attribution policy. Key Responsibilities Content Creation Plan, film, edit and publish short-form content, including videos, photographs, Reels, TikTok videos, Stories and social media posts. Create content for Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Lemon8 and other relevant platforms. Capture daily business activities, customer experiences, staff introductions, services, promotions and behind-the-scenes moments. Turn ordinary workplace moments and service experiences into relatable and shareable content. Write clear and engaging captions in English and Chinese. Appear on camera when required for service introductions, interviews, outlet features and promotional content. Interview customers and employees naturally and confidently, with their consent. Social Media Posting and Management Maintain a regular and consistent posting schedule across all assigned platforms. Prepare a practical weekly or monthly content plan. Adapt content into suitable formats for different social media platforms. Optimise captions, hashtags, titles, thumbnails and posting times. Monitor comments, messages and basic community engagement. Refer complaints, sensitive comments and customer service matters to management promptly. Ensure all published content is accurate, appropriate and consistent with the company’s image. Trends and Content Improvement Keep up to date with trending topics, video formats, popular audio, memes and platform developments. Adapt relevant trends into suitable and brand-safe content. Review basic content performance, including views, reach, engagement, saves, shares and enquiries. Identify which content attracts attention or customer enquiries and recommend improvements. Test different content styles to improve exposure and audience engagement. Internal Coordination Work closely with outlet managers and employees to capture timely and authentic content. Coordinate filming schedules without significantly disrupting daily operations or customer service. Attend company events, roadshows or external filming locations when required. Organise and maintain content files, photographs, videos and posting records. Requirements Diploma or relevant qualification in Digital Media, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Communications or a related field is preferred but not compulsory. Candidates with relevant experience and a strong portfolio may be considered regardless of formal qualifications. Previous experience in social media content creation, video production or platform management is preferred. Fresh graduates with strong practical skills and a suitable portfolio are welcome to apply. Hands-on experience using Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Lemon8. Able to film and edit short-form videos using a mobile phone. Proficient in CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar editing tools. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to write and communicate in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage, as the role involves producing bilingual content and managing Chinese-language platforms. Comfortable appearing on camera and communicating with customers and employees. Good understanding of social media trends and audience preferences. Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools is an advantage. Creative, responsible, organised and able to work independently.
