Job Summary The Chief Financial Officer (Retail) for Thailand will lead finance functions, partnering with the Country CEO to drive growth, ensure financial compliance, and optimize operational efficiency for a major SE Asian business house operating retail operations for global franchise brands. Responsibilities Partner with the Country CEO and business teams to drive top-line growth and bottom-line improvements through sales reviews and finance solutions Analyze financial forecasts and operational performance to provide actionable recommendations at management meetings Prepare and coordinate budgets and financial forecasts, leading analysis of accounting data to evaluate profitability and fiscal soundness Drive periodic reviews and follow-up action plans on budget and forecast deviations to improve financial outcomes Restructure finance teams, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and internal controls Oversee accounting operations, monthly closing, internal and external reporting, and audit processes to maintain accuracy and compliance Define finance department workflows and roles, coaching and training staff to enhance team capabilities and performance Manage banking relationships, including international trade finance, local currency, and foreign exchange requirements with robust approval procedures Forecast cash flow and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations in compliance with local GAAP Required competencies and certifications Degree in Accounting or Business from a premier university and CA/CPA or equivalent certification Proven ability to lead finance functions in B2C retail, sales, and distribution businesses, preferably in apparel, footwear, or fashion sectors Experience working in Southeast Asia markets Strong leadership skills to drive organizational change, motivate teams, and implement performance improvement plans Expertise in establishing new systems, policies, and procedures to enhance finance operations Proficient in managing external relations with bankers, auditors, tax consultants, and legal counsel Detail-oriented with high integrity, business acumen, and strong negotiation and influencing skills Excellent presentation and reporting skills Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication abilities Preferred competencies and qualifications 18-20 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a similar CFO role
