Meta is seeking a Communications Manager to lead our communications strategy in Vietnam. This role is critical to shaping Meta's public narrative, protecting our reputation, and driving business impact in one of our most strategically important markets in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in the Vietnamese media and digital landscape, a track record of advising leadership, navigating complex regulatory environments, and building communications programs that deliver measurable results. Responsibilities Own and drive the end-to-end communications strategy for Vietnam, aligned to regional Southeast Asia and global priorities Provide strategic communications counsel to country and regional leadership on reputation, risk, and opportunity Build trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams — including Policy, Legal, Marketing, Product, and Business — to align on communications strategy Lead rapid-response communications on complex crises, regulatory issues, and reputational incidents — triaging, coordinating cross-functionally, and advising on messaging strategy and response positioning Partner with Policy, Legal, and Policy Communications teams to develop and execute communications strategies that support Meta's regulatory positioning Develop and execute proactive narratives around Meta's business impact, trust and safety investments, and creator ecosystem in Vietnam Design and lead social-first communications strategies, using Meta's owned social channels as primary storytelling platforms Build and execute creator partnership strategies that leverage local Vietnamese creators, opinion leaders, and community voices to amplify Meta's narrative Champion a metrics-driven approach to communications: use data and metrics to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and demonstrate impact to leadership Leverage AI tools and workflows to improve communications efficiency, content production, media monitoring, and reporting Build and maintain strong working relationships with major national media outlets, digital publishers, creators, and opinion leaders in Vietnam Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of experience in corporate or strategic communications, including media relations and crisis communications Experience managing PR agencies and cross-functional stakeholder relationships Deep, well-established relationships with Vietnamese media and demonstrated media relations expertise Experience working with creators and influencers to build locally relevant communications campaigns Experience in social media strategy — using owned social channels as a core communications tool Track record of advising leadership on reputational risk and strategic communications decisions Experience developing and executing communications strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes Fluency in Vietnamese and English (written and spoken) is needed as the role works closely and engages with stakeholders whose business language is Vietnamese and English Data literacy — comfort with metrics, measurement frameworks, and using data to inform and optimize communications decisions Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Meta's products and the Vietnamese/Southeast Asian digital ecosystem Experience supporting or advising country leadership on public-facing communications strategy and narrative Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience operating in regional or matrixed team structures Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Experience in the technology industry or at a global platform company Background in managing communications during regulatory or policy-driven moments Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
