Job description The Radiographer will perform the range of diagnostic imaging modalities, which the hospital is providing, with high level of service quality, patient care, efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards described in SOP. Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rule and respective procedural consents described in SOP. Ensure the quality of the film is optimal, it is correctly labeled and the examination requested has been completed before sending for reporting or providing as wet-film to patient. Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested. Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it. Ensure patients’ safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination. Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation. Perform on-call and after hours duties when necessary, ensure prompt response which is in line with the prescribed standard of the Hospital. Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance of these equipment. Perform any other duties as instructed by the Director. Qualifications Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions. Registered with Allied Health Professions Council. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility. Able to commit to on-call duties. Experience in sub-specialties preferred as in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography. Those with previous experience in managing Modality areas will be considered for senior position. Good customer service, telephone and public relations skill. Proficient in MS Office applications – Words, Excel and Powerpoint. Good command of spoken, written English, and a second language. Working knowledge of PACS system. 5.5 days work week
