About this role

Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: SGD 8,600 – SGD 9,500 per month Work Location: Our center at Joo Chiat, students' residences, outdoor venues, art cafés, and community facilities. Locations across Singapore. Working Hours: 44 hours per week, early morning / late evening, including weekends, Public Holidays, and Public Holiday eves, subject to teaching schedules and operational requirements. Job Summary We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the ability to engage learners and deliver effective art instruction, as an Art Teacher to deliver high-quality art instruction to children, teenagers, adults, and senior learners. The successful candidate will teach Drawing, Sketching, Painting, Chinese Fine Art (中国画), Chinese Brush Painting (水墨画), and related visual arts programs through one-to-one and small-group classes. The role includes planning and conducting indoor and outdoor art activities, supporting students with diverse learning needs, and collaborating with fellow instructors to provide engaging and enriching art education experiences. Experience supporting learners with diverse emotional, developmental, or learning needs and assisting in art-based therapeutic activities will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities • Conduct art lessons for children (6–13 years), teenagers (14–18 years), adults, and senior learners. • Teach Drawing, Sketching, Watercolor, Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Chinese Fine Art (中国画), and Chinese Brush Painting (水墨画). • Conduct one-to-one and small-group art classes. • Organize and conduct outdoor painting, sketching, and plein-air art sessions as a lead instructor or supporting instructor. • Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and student projects. • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. • Prepare students for exhibitions, competitions, and portfolio development. • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. • Collaborate with fellow instructors and support studio events and workshops. • Assist in art-based therapeutic and wellness programs under the guidance of qualified professionals where required. Requirements •Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Chinese Fine Art (中国画), or a related discipline. • Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching art, conducting workshops, or delivering art enrichment programs. • Strong competency in drawing, sketching, painting, and Chinese painting techniques. • Ability to teach students of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. • Passionate about art education and nurturing artistic development. • Patient, caring, and able to work effectively with learners with diverse emotional, developmental, or learning needs. • Willingness to travel to various teaching locations, including students' residences, outdoor venues, art cafés, and community facilities. • Working Hours: 44 hours per week, scheduled based on class timetables and operational requirements. Classes may be conducted on weekdays, weekends, Public Holidays, and Public Holiday eves. • Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred as the role involves teaching Chinese Fine Art (中国画), conducting lessons in Mandarin, and communicating with Mandarin-speaking students and parents. Preferred Qualifications •Experience conducting outdoor art programs and workshops. • Experience working with senior learners and young learners. • Knowledge of art therapy principles or experience supporting therapeutic art activities.
