Company As a FinTech company, our business is entirely technology and data driven, from determining subscriber eligibility, generating relevant offers, managing risk, loan issuance, recovery, optimizing performance and reporting, reconciliation and billing. Each day we process approximately 21M loan requests and 1.4 TB of data across our markets. This process needs to be robust, reliable and secure. But it doesn’t end there. We’re exploring new ways of using our platform and transactional data to improve our products and develop new product opportunities. Context Of The Role - Accountant We are looking for a diligent, detail-oriented, and commercially aware Accountant to join our growing global finance team. In this mid-level role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Ezra’s financial operations. Given our fast-paced environment and complex multi-currency lending ecosystem, we need someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proven track record within the fintech or payments industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support month-end close, financial reporting, and operational reconciliations. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations: Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) maintenance, and bank reconciliations. Month-End & Year-End Close: Execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations. Multi-Currency Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of complex payment gateways, settlement accounts, and multi-currency ledgers—a critical function for our global lending and payments operations. Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting. Provide financial data to support business decisions and strategic initiatives. Audit & Tax Compliance: Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants. Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., GST/VAT, WHT, and corporate tax). Process Improvement: Proactively identify bottlenecks in current financial and accounting processes. Support the implementation and enhancement of ERP systems and automated finance workflows to scale with our rapid growth. Cross-Entity Collaboration: Collaborate with the broader TransferTo Group finance teams (Thunes, DT One, Ezra) to ensure alignment on intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and consolidated reporting. Qualifications & Requirements At least 4 - 5 years of relevant accounting or audit experience. Prior experience in the Fintech, Payments, Lending, or Financial Services sectors is required. You must understand the nuances of high-volume transactions, settlement cycles, and multi-currency accounting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent. Technical Skills & Attributes Strong working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS / local GAAP). Proficiency in modern ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas). High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup/fintech environment and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
